The economy based warfare changes how you approach battles, every shot you fire and take costs you money so you have to think about the long game. the BOS fights are a cool concept, but unfortunately they don't work with the movement and shooting this game has. Missions start to get incredibly frustrating and the BOS fights even more so with horrible 'confusion' effects and blindness or invincibility shields that prolong the fights for too long... fights that you fail if you don't finish in 60 seconds.I loved this game until I didn't, then I hated it.. I really like the concept and the gameplay kinda feels like Halo 1, but the later BoS aren't fun at all. They flashbang all the time and there is no throwing animation so you also don't see the grenade flying, but still get flashed all the time so I have to fire blind at them ALL THE TIME. Also the hitboxes are terrible especially with the mech, you basicly have to stand right in front of the enemy to hit or your bullets will hit the wall.. Mixing a military-like campaign with a TV Contest/Unreal Tournament feel to the game just doesnt work well for my taste. Pant Pant Simulator 2005. This game is... strange. Not in a bad way, I find this game to be REALLY FUN. You'll just have to play it yourself to see what I mean!. Don't let the mostly positive good reviews on steam's page fool you. Gamespot gave this a 3.1/10 which is accurate for this game, especially considering that the steam user review system is heavily abused and often wrong for many games. This is one of the most highly generic and overall balls-awful fps games I've ever played. Other fps's released in 2005 are far better, like FEAR or CoD2 and you can find them cheaper than this game.Homeless mans armpit and/or ball sweat/10It randomly crashes too but since this sucks so bad that's actually a positive since any time spent not playing this game is automatically time well spent. Even if that time includes being chased by a knife wielding serial killer that's still more entertaining than this.. classic game, first time played it more than a decade ago when we still had gaming magazines that included demos on CD's loved the game back then as a kid and i finally got around to playing it as a whole game, it did not disappoint me game is a masterpiece of its time.. Very good game, old but good, worth buying during steam sale.
